Legal
Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026. These terms govern your use of the Batavia Solutions website, book, templates, and tools.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Batavia Solutions website, digital book, templates, or any related services (the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Not professional advice
The content published on this site, including the book, articles, templates, and the Ask problem router, is educational and for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute tax, legal, accounting, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions that affect your tax or compliance obligations.
3. Accounts and subscriptions
You may need an account to access paid or saved content. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Subscription fees are billed as described at checkout and renew automatically until cancelled.
4. Prices, payment, and invoices
All prices are shown in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for these sales: Stripe determines and collects any applicable VAT or sales tax based on your location, accepts your business VAT or tax ID at checkout where relevant, and issues the compliant invoice or receipt for the transaction. Your card statement will reflect Stripe alongside our name.
5. Cancellation of subscriptions
Practice subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from Account → Manage billing and invoices. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-used periods. Subscription access is read-only access to the library — it does not include permanent ownership or downloadable files, which are sold separately as the Complete Library.
6. Refunds and right of withdrawal
Digital content is delivered immediately. If a purchase is not what you expected, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it, provided you have not downloaded the purchased files. Once a downloadable PDF, DOCX, or XLSX file has been downloaded, the content has been fully delivered and the purchase is non-refundable.
Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. By starting a download, or by using ASK analyses included with a purchase, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose that right of withdrawal for the content delivered. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights where they cannot lawfully be limited.
Where we issue a partial refund — for example a price adjustment or a refund of one item in a combined purchase — your access to the products you keep is not affected. Only a full refund of a purchase removes the access it granted. Where an ASK session pack is partially refunded, the matching proportion of unused sessions is removed from your balance.
Refund requests, billing questions, and duplicate charges: support@bataviaworkbench.com. We respond within five working days.
7. Licenses and restrictions
When you purchase a digital product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works for public distribution without written permission.
8. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, logos, and designs on this site are owned by or licensed to Batavia Solutions, Inc., a Washington State registered company, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, if we believe you have violated these terms or engaged in unlawful or harmful activity.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Batavia Solutions, Inc., a Washington State registered company, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Services.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply where the law says they must.
13. Seller and contact
These Services are operated by Batavia Solutions, Inc., a Washington State registered company. Payments are processed by Stripe as merchant of record. General and legal questions: legal@bataviaworkbench.com. Purchases, refunds, and billing: support@bataviaworkbench.com.
